Cost of Vitamins vs Cost of Being Sick

Many are those who say “vitamins are too expensive…” and yet they will hand over thousands of dollars each year for prescription meds that only aggravate, and compound their problems.
People claim that they can’t afford to take a day off work, and then continue to work through the weekend. They will push their body to the point that they get admitted to a hospital, but still refuse to alter their lifestyle in order to prevent stress from building up to the breaking point time and time again.
People will seek a doctor’s advice about how to restore their fading health, only to reject his advice, and continue to eat and act like they always have; taking a chance that they might somehow get a different result this time.
Guess what- none of that works.
All metabolic diseases respond to diet and nutrition, and can be improved by improving the diet. The biggest failure found in alternative medicine is not the results, but the people’s inability to discipline themselves enough to eat what their body needs.
Unfortunately, most people have collectively grown comfortable with letting someone else take care of us, so we have lost control- and responsibility- for our own general health. In America, people are so conditioned to eat only what tastes good that many refuse to even put a vegetable on their plate, much less eat one.
It is somewhat understandable in children, but adults deal with far more stress, and have more issues with aging, and therefore need to alter their diet as they get older to one that is more nutrient rich, and one that will restore and maintain their good health.
The human body must ingest the nutrients found in fruits, vegetables, meats, fish and dairy if it is going to function right. If a body can’t tolerate these foods, that person should at least take supplements that will provide what their body needs in order to continue to perform without failing.
Vitamins and minerals are a lot less costly than prescription drugs, in more ways than one.
