Great idea for a healthy snack using leftover Thanksgiving dinner!
Real food, real fast-
Ingredients
Meat - 1/2 cup Turkey
Produce - 1 teaspoon Parsley
Condiments - 1/4 cup Cranberry sauce
Bread & Baked Goods - 2 Flour tortillas
Dairy - 1 tbsp Butter, 1/2 cup Swiss cheese
Nutrition - 1 Tablespoon of Wheat Germ
ALWAYS use wheat germ on anything and everything you cook. It is so full of nutrition, and will help digest everything we eat. Not only does it have a wide array of vitamins, it has Lecithin that will break down saturated fats into small enough particles, so that they can pass through the arterial walls, and on to the tissues where it can be used.
Apply low heat to your skillet, melt butter, and add 2 tortillas.
Then sprinkle the wheat germ on both pieces of tortilla
Spread the Swiss cheese on top of the wheat germ so it will melt, and hold it in place.
Add Parsley and turkey on top, and let come to temperature slowly, to give the cheese time to melt.
When you are ready to take it off the heat, add the cranberries last, to get the texture, along with the hot & cold combination.
Slide on to a plate, and enjoy!
This is so fast, and so simple, and full of nutrition. The wheat germ gives you all the nutrition you need for the day, in one meal.
Swiss cheese is a complete protein, meaning that you can get another days supply of nutrition in one serving.
The turkey obviously has a little protein, and the cranberry has properties that will surround bacteria, and prevent it from multiplying.
5-minutes to a full day of nutrition, and it tastes better than a diet/ protein bar!
