Anti Histamines Damage Liver, Making You Dependent on Them

As mentioned before, a healthy liver will produce the enzyme ‘histaminase’, which will oxidize any histamine that the body produces no matter where it came from.

However, the liver of people that are stressed or eating a poor diet are unable to produce enough histaminase to combat growing levels of histamine once an allergic reaction starts.

The condition of the liver is one reason why over the counter anti-histamines can be considered so harmful. Synthetically produced anti-histamines tend to damage the liver over time, so much so, that they will cause the liver to stop producing histaminase altogether and leave the poor person chemically dependent of the store bought version. These research results were taken from studies that considered anti-histamine use a success.

The prevailing medical thought is to stop the allergies; not treat the patient. As far as research is considered, OTC antihistamines are a success, despite the fact that they continually damage the very organ that was designed to treat allergies naturally in the first place.

Thank God the liver is an organ that can regenerate itself. When given the right diet, the liver can correct itself, and repair the negative effects of this very common long term drug use.

"The human liver is one of the few organs in the body that can regenerate from as little as 25 percent of its tissue,"
