Bread of Life?

Back in the late 1940's and 1950's, when service men started coming back from the war, the baby boomers started to be born at a record pace. Feeding this generation became a huge challenge for the food industry, so the need for 'Super-markets', and fast food began to grow.
There was a huge need to mass-produce everything, and Wonder bread lead the way with their bleached, non-wheat-germ bread pumped full of air. It wasn't very nutritious, but it lasted on the shelves twice as long.
Once that started, the United States started seeing a huge increase in Pellagra and heart disease across the entire US. As time went by, research showed that white bread contained almost no nutrition and was starting to deprive American’s of their main source of all the B-vitamins, and Lecithin. Without the B-vitamins, specifically Niacin, people will develop Pellagra, and without the emulsifier Lecithin, saturated fats are not broken down properly, so they get ‘stuck’ in the arteries and veins. Lecithin is the body’s greatest defense against high blood pressure and heart disease, and without wheat germ in our daily bread people are losing one of the largest sources in their diet. This is why you will see Nutritional-Therapy constantly advise that people start to supplement their diet with a good B-Complex supplement, and 21-grain Lecithin caps. These two items in particular will do more for the general populace than anything else for basic nutrition.
Once the Pellegra epidemic became well known, the FDA started to require that in order for a food to be called ‘bread’, it must contain ‘Eight Essential Vitamins and Minerals’. So what did bread manufactures do? They stripped out all of the nutrition, put back a small portion of it and re-branded their product as ‘Enriched’.
Don''t be fooled. Sprinkle a tablespoon of Wheat Germ on every meal you eat. On the bread, in your cereal, in your salads, soups, and sandwiches. Not only will it pick you up, but it will emulsify sauce and gravy to make it more smooth and creamy.
Eat right and live well-
